I think they crashed more than 28 hours.
Thy refuse to answer the phone, I was on tech support line last night @ 12am and even 10am with no answer even though it's 24 hrs.
Today @ 9am they say they have hardware failure on certain IPs on their welcome message but still no answer after 36 minutes of hold.
My client (zeehoo.com) is loosing out big time. I cannot even go in there (ftp) and put a refresh page to go elsewhere and re-route the traffic, now that I remember we only have ns1 and ns2 on interland, and no backup dns like ns3 and 4 to go elswhere.
These guys were getting pretty big and lots of hits, 210K hits per 3 or so days with at least 6K users per day with approx 15minutes per visit.
I knew this was going to happen but 2nd store I transfered to apollohosting.com because of MIVA merchant (e-commerce) mall they have.
I want to go there and kick someone's as*!

That has been my problem. We are a reseller and we still have problems getting someone on the horn to answer our problems. And since HostPro was merged with them service has changed with the "Trouble Tickets" that you need to fill out. Dedicated support won't even talk to us unless we fill one out. We spend thousands a month with them and they take days to reply to trouble tickets that I could fix in 30 minutes if I was in front of the machine.
They have definetly gone down hill, which is the major reason for the thread I just posted!
Dennis.

I called them for 40min from home before I got to work. I hung up. I got to work @ 09:20am and since than I've been on hold.
Right now it's 11:56am.
We were moving one store to apollo hosting from 3 weeks ago and getting ready to change the other two. I am trying to change the DNS settings to point our site to another site but no luck not for awhile.
I have over 50 tickets open with them and one took 3-4 weeks to answer. They closed it without an answer. I asked them straight out. Will we get charged full price for the full year that we paid if we decide to switch to our own servers because we are gettings lots of time-outs and the site/email crashes all the time. They did not respond even after 3-4 weeks.
I hope these BASTARDS! go out of business like FlashCom.com (dsl provider) did. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Too much money in and not enough effort going out.
I work with this client. I've worked on their MIVA stuff for awhile now and I know what's up. I wish I can get them on my own Cobalt RAQ but I can't have MIVA on my raq, not for now at least.

I just received a 15 page full color catalog from them in the mail. Must have cost them a lot to get it out.

They do the same thing that FLASHCOM.COM did. Advertise like crazy till they couldn't support the load and they went down for not taking care of clients.
I lived next to a Flashcom building corportate office in Huntington Beach, CA and couldn't believe the building, PACKED like crazy cars parked fully stacked and even in areas that were not suppose. They had security in place, at the time they were hit with viruses and mail server nightmare.
Same with INTERLAND.COM got lots of viruses which were removed on our side, tech support sucks and I was on the phone on hold for 4 hours today before someone picked up the site came up but still.
I asked for credit and we'll see the trouble ticket.
They should put the money where is needed and not look for more clients. Take care of problems first, than market.

I just recently learned that icom.com has now become or sold to interland.com. I can no longer collect my email from my domain. I have tried to call for technical support but I get no answer. Someone told me that I could ask you people for help.
First I sent email to my domain email using another account. 4 hours later I recieved email from that other account stating the following.
The original message was received at Mon, 28 Jan 2002 16:41:38 -0500 (EST)
from [209.235.102.5]

<cazcie@cazcie.com>... Deferred
Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours
Will keep trying until message is 5 days old
From this I gather there is a stock up on email on my server side. So I am asking if anyone knows how to connect to my server side via ftp and delete some of the email that apprentely my server has not deleted.
It also states that cazcie@cazcie.com was deferred...what does that mean?
Thanks for your help

Usually to do that, per say Interland.com you goto: http://support.interland.com and you connect to control panel and you got everything there.
Also try your http://xx.xx.xx.xxx/admin or something. Than you can clean stuff there, unless you have telnet access and get there. Interland don't have that cuz they're in NT hosting, not that I know of.
Servers were down today for the past 2 days or so but mail functional and pings, tracert and everything. The site said 402? forbidden message and couldn't connect to ftp to re-route or even change the DNS to point elsewhere cuz of timming.
Apollohosting is kicking their As* cuz they have miva 4 where interland is bearly "beta" testing it.
Maybe they should consider *NIX instead of NT.
I am not even talking about the 404, 500, timeouts we get with interland. I think our best option is to get our own 1u raq and have our site only on that... cuz we get 100K hits per 3 days with few Ks of unique users with approx. 12-15min. per session with shopping carts with over 550 products using Authorize net that we reach our limits all the time.
heck I mentioned to these guys to dump Miva and get stinking PHP Shop or even Agora.cgi.
The one I'd get is Commerce Server 2000 enterprise with SQL Server 2000 Enterprise but that's some settings to be done and  aa.. NT stuff, patches, bugs, security, updates and such.

The problem with going to thier control panel is that for some reason they are not finding my domain or ip address....to them it simply does not exist. I went to my orignial host icom.com but got redirected to interland.com
So I am what ...sunk?
As far as all that other stuff goes, I don't have a merchant account so to be honest ...none of what you said makes a whole lot of sense to me....sorry for being illit.
