View Full Version : AMD Package II -- Ensim (Rackshack) for Sale
mripguru 01-28-2002, 11:44 AM Hello,
I am looking to sell my AMD Package II (Ensim) box on RackShack.Net for $450.00USD one time, and I will continue to pay the recurring fees ($105.53) as long as they are paid to me. Any questions, send me a PM or E-Mail.

porcupine 01-28-2002, 12:39 PM Hi,
Just curious, why are you trying to sell your AMD (II Package) Ensim box on rackshack for $100 more setup then rackshack offers it.

I'm including the taxes, etc.

porcupine 01-28-2002, 01:14 PM .... But theres not $100 of taxes on a $350 setup (i was pointing to the setup, not the monthly cost).
I'm just curious, `tiss all :)

The setup is $369. The AMD 1 is $299.
Incognito 01-28-2002, 02:24 PM Rackshack Setup on AMD Plan 2 With Ensim is $349..add taxes still under $375...and yet you want to charge $450.
The only way most people even consider taking over a Rackshack server is no setup charge at all.

Or either a significant discount on setup fees. By leasing a server THROUGH another RS customer you can't call up and get support and are at the mercy of the person to relay all message about requests and support. So paying the exact same price (in the case MORE than the price) that RS offers and having to go through a 3rd party for support is not very reasonable.
What would be a better alternative is letting someone sublease it for no setup fee (or MAYBE $100 for setup) and marking up the monthly cost by $30-$40. That way in the long run you make all your money back plus some and somoene who can't afford a large setup fee plus 1st month can get a server.
Just adding my $.02

I'm throwing in a month of service in that price too, which is $99.
porcupine 01-28-2002, 06:34 PM The month of January of February?
Also, even with 1 month free, you're only offering a savings of $25 realistically...

What would you like to buy the server for?
porcupine 01-28-2002, 06:55 PM Personally i wouldn't like to buy it, this thread just bit into me with some instinctive curiousity i guess. I'm just trying to point out a flaw in your selling plan. If you want to resell for rackshack, you should probably sign up for a reseller account, if you just want to ditch your server, you need to lower your prices IMHO, how long have you had it for?

Just this past weekend, since Saturday night.

Huh? Usually, when people get drunk on a Saturday night, they marry a perfect stranger in Vegas, they don't buy a web server.
(Sorry it was soooo easy :D)

I don't drink and I don't plan on marrying anytime soon.
porcupine 01-28-2002, 07:11 PM you probably shouldn't have replied to my question then eh? The rackshack service must be very far amiss for you to want out THAT fast after paying a $350 setup. Oh well, it'll be good for my business perchance :)
