I was just wondering what you thaught. If there are any cheap host that has small accounts like this I would like to hear what you have to say.
How much bandwidth on average do you think an account with 50MB of Space will use? If the account has the normal features of a hosting account, email, php, mysql, etc. I don't think they would use a whole lot maybe less than 1GB, what do you think?
Thanks, for your input!

Based on your information it is impossible to say because there are so many more factors that determine the datatransfer.
Number of visitors to your site being one of them.
But if you are talking about an average site here I'ld play on safe and get 2 GB datatransfer.

It is impossible to tell how much bandwidth any account will use up. 5MB site can use eat up more bandwidth than 500MB site. It all depends on the traffic/downloads of the site. Do not draw your conclusion based on this poll.

exactly... not only that, but if you compare 50 megs of html documents vs 50 megs of MySQL info called on dynamic pages.. huge difference.

I've seen a 10 MB accounts use up 50 GB of traffic (was a shareware author distributing his software, and he got mentioned on some popular web sites). What does this mean? It's impossible to say how much a "50 MB account" is going to use. That said, for a normal personal web site though, I'd say "less than 500 megs a month". But play it safe and get a package with at least 3 GB of bandwidth, just in case your site gets mentioned on Slashdot, or you have an above average month. ;)
