I have a domain with whoisguard on it. But I'm still getting spam coming to the "guarded" email address and they also know my name. How is this happening?

Hello,
If you log into your account and click on "WhoisGuard subscriptions" and then click on "edit", you will see a feature under "options" that will say the following "To enhance privacy, automatically change WhoisGuard email every - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 15 30 days " . If you set this, it should help reduce the spam dramatically as it changes the email address listed for your domain every day.

Thanks Rich, I'll do just that. The whoisguard works great, just that one thing spam thing.

maybe your name/email was caught before you apply the spam protection?

Hi Bashar,
That's the only thing I can think of. It's almost like he was making fun, by saying "see I got though the whoisguard and got your name too."

It's almost funny, I installed the Wordpress blogger program and the minute you get it running, a spam bot puts some nonsense on it. It's driving people crazy there.

Enom broke through the whoisguard protection and registered the .info counter part of all the protected domains with the protected information right there in the open. I almost had a heart attack when I thought namecheap was responsible, but it was the big fat head enom!!
