View Full Version : Help My Kid's Science Fair! Please, please?
rapidtransit 01-27-2002, 07:26 PM I posted almost the same thing on the MCHost forum and got a nice response, so I hope it'll get a similar reception here:
---------------------------------
My 11-year-old daughter is doing a color poll for her science fair project. The project is about color theory and people's reaction to color.
She has a poll going which works as follows. After a brief explanatory screen, you look at 8 screens with different colors, then you choose your age group (<18 or >=18) which takes you to a screen where you pick your favorite. You can also leave a comment, if you wish. You'll then see the results to date and can also look at other people's comments.
If you'd be so kind as to participate, the URL of the poll is:
http://poll.switch1.net
Thanks, guys! :D

Unfortunatly many geocities webmasters seem to disagree. You'll be lucky if they don't make that fast FLASHING red hot pink.
I wonder if anyone ever had an epileptic attack after visiting one of those sites and sued the owner :)

Crabby 01-30-2002, 08:14 PM Great project idea - and a good way to obtain a large "n" for the sample. This should provide a valid summary.
By profession I am web services manager for a large school system and was formerly a science and a social studies teacher for the same system.
Any chance of getting a look at your hypothesis. I am curious about the under/over 18 split. Good luck. If you do a good job is writing up your results you will have earned (or at least should earn) and "A" for the project. ;)

That's when you say "word." C'mon Chicken, you gotta get with the new jargon.
I participated as well.
qslack 01-30-2002, 09:17 PM Done, good luck to your daughter. :)
I usually like blue. It might've been my laptop LCD's color, or just the shade of blue she chose, but it wasn't very appealing to me on this test. I ended up voting for grey.
markblair 01-30-2002, 09:21 PM Done. Good luck and great idea. I will remember that when my 13 month old is old enough to have school projects. :D
