Do you guys send out gift cards and such to your clients for the winter holidays? I've been thinking about essentially having a nice little staff picture for a postcard that we would sent out with some small misc. gifts such as well such a golf tee's, pens ... etc. Would this be a rare occurance in the industry (I've never had a provider send me something)? Or do you think this would be a little bit cheesy?

Yes we sent out gifts to are larger customers and cards to all other customers, i dont believe its cheesy and we get alot of customers ringing up to thanks us ( a good chance to make sure they get that extra service they were thinking about :) )

We did this when we were a bit smaller. I dont think it would be viable now to send something to everyone :(

What type of gifts did you include? With clients all over the globe, I'm trying to find something that would work for everyone. It wouldn't make sense to send golf tee's to someone who hasn't ever played golf.

If you can only afford to send something very cheap then it probably isnt worth it. Whatever you sends reflects your company..... a single golf tee? Come on!

Another option is to send everyone a card and then get say 50 of something a little more expensive made up (we did this recently with some really high quality polo shirts) and then allow customers to somehow win them (also good if you have a forum where the competition can be based).

I think like a Happy Holidays card should do a great Holiday Gift.

Funny you have mentioned this. Earlier this week I placed an order for cards to go to all our customers. I think the cost is out weighed by the customer satisfaction.

Its a simple idea that pays dividends with the customers.

We used to send our postcards to all of our clients every 6 months via USPS - simply to thank them for their business. It costs us $.79c for the card and postage, but it was well worth it.
