View Full Version : Few questions to the mod's
Félix C.Courtemanche 11-22-2000, 10:04 PM ok...
I was just curious... what is the number of post needed to go to god again? ;) And what other levels are there between my current state and the highest one?
Second, totally unrelated...
I often have customers with basic hosting questions, unrelated with our company specifically, just want to discuss general hosting stuff or are looking for help or whatever. Is redirecting them here a good idea or not?
I would not like being slammed because someone recommended my company as I saw done to many other ones.
What do you think?
TheComputerGuy 11-22-2000, 10:18 PM I dont know if i would or not, see my friend told me who his host was and i went directly to him, and made my friend mad as hell. So its up to you but he showed me this place and i found out that i could get it cheaper, so i made some decisions i wished i didnt. My friend now is talking to me, but he seems lik to not help me out that much anymore and we barely talk anymore. so here is my expierence take it to your benfit.
Felix :
1. You have another level (450-550) - Web Hosting Evangelist :) Then after 550 posts you get God status.
2. You are most welcome to re-direct your users to this board - I know many of the hosts here have done so with the vast majority coming away satisfied. It's up to your own discretion.

Felix, I have the general sense that those doing the slamming were either other hosts jealous of the sterling reputation of those recommended -- or else people sent by such hosts.
From what I've seen in your posts about the seriousness and devotion you bring to your work and your attitudes toward responsibility and support -- I rather hope none will have a legitimate reason to slam you.
Felix, there will always be sore-heads and losers who, for lack of ability or effort at doing their own work well, will attempt to belittle the achievements of others.
Personally, when it's done to me, I just smile and nod... because those are just the types who never last, in any industry, and hence won't be around very long to be nuisances.

Why would you friend be mad about you using the same host as him?

Felix, that is what this board is all about. You might run the risk (if you want to call it that), of exposing your client to a resource of where many other hosts hang out and are discussed, but sooner or later your clinets are going to discover you aren't the only host out there anyway :)
Send a few here and see how it works out.
etLux 11-23-2000, 12:26 PM As they say, the cream always rises to the top...

Yah... but I believe we are competitive enough not to loose all our customers to those TH-wannabe around :) Plus I don't see to whome they would go... we are the host ;)
TheComputerGuy 11-23-2000, 04:34 PM he was going to sell to me, and then i went and talked to his host and found out that there was a gap that i didnt like between prices. So I mad the mistake. I was an ass so... i learned from mistakes.

etLux 11-24-2000, 02:01 AM Does anyone find the religious, albeit pagan, overtones of this presumably non-sectarian forum disturbing?
Is it necessarily a good thing to have Gods and Goddesses in charge of our destiny, here?
Do we still even nominally believe in such nonsense?
ACK!
Geez... I think I just got hit in the a** with lightning...
Nevermind.
