Following on the rave reviews JVDS (and VPScolo) has been getting, I signed up for a VPS with them about 70 hours ago. Granted, it is the weekend, and a well set up server is worth the wait, but 3 days is a little stretching my patience. I sent in 3 emails to JVDS sales, and was told, in order, that:
1) it will be built today for you
2) Sure I will get the details out to your shortly
3) I have flagged the ticket for Rus to have a look at when he comes on shift in the morning.
The last message was sent in more than 24 hours ago, and I have neither a reply nor account activation.
I can't say I'm not disappointed with JVDS after getting really excited about it reading all the comments here. Has JVDS gone downhill or am I really facing a freak case of bad support/response?
That said, I do need a VPS (I have one with Linode right now, which I was hoping to port over to JVDS), and JVDS offers what I need (Gentoo as a distro, and goes for a reasonable price).
Does anyone have any advice? Anything at all (such as alternative VPS providers, actions to take).
Thanks.
