View Full Version : Lowest LivePerson Pro price?
blueface 10-19-2004, 01:16 PM What's the lowest price for LivePerson Pro that you can get?
I was offered $70/month for single operator and $120/month for two operators. Is this a good price or am I missing something?
T3H-Joe 10-19-2004, 02:30 PM One their website it is offered for:
Pricing (per seat/month) $99
When we looked at using their software a few months back after a long conversation with them we were offered the software for $60 (per seat/month) without a minimum number of seats.
Based on the prices you stated, it depends how many operators you are going to buy. Obviously if you order more than one you have the same pricing we were offered.
blueface 10-19-2004, 03:11 PM Thanks for the info!
Anyone else? :)
niyogi 10-19-2004, 10:01 PM What in particular would you like to use LivePerson specifically for?
blueface 10-20-2004, 12:43 AM For live chat with customers? :)
niyogi 10-20-2004, 01:17 AM LivePerson is quite expensive - you might want to consider a tool like ClickChatSold.com (which is what a lot of hosting companies are switching to these days). PHPLive is another good solution.

Web Hosting Stuff 10-20-2004, 01:18 AM how did you get the discount? :P
blueface 10-20-2004, 01:59 AM Roj, I'm already using ClickChatSold, but LivePerson Pro seems to offer more features and more neat.
HostAZ, the discount you can get by talking with their live chat staff on the site.
JHServers 10-20-2004, 07:19 AM I and others use PHP Live! Support. Ev1Servers for example uses it, the planet etc.. It is very nice to use, and suprisingly the price is quite low.
blueface 10-20-2004, 07:52 AM Can PHPLiveSupport track all chat windows in one single window like LivePerson? Can it track down visitor sessions while browsing on the site?
flashwebhost 10-20-2004, 10:33 AM No, it can't. PHPLiveSupport oppen new window for each chat session.
websites4u2day 10-20-2004, 11:09 AM There are a lot of options available to you instead of paying a third party. You might do a search. The hosting company that I use offers a program for passive or active chat. It allows me to push URLs to the end user. And there is a record of each conversation for me.
blueface 10-20-2004, 02:22 PM I've done a research and LivePerson seems to be the best. No wonder they dare to charge a high fee for that. Just asking if we can negotiate a better deal with them.
I would agree Live Person is the best and offers the best feature set.
We use Click Chat Sold and have been very happy with it. But, if our live chat volume was high enough to justify it I could see the benefits to using Live Person as well.
Good Luck.

wow this looks good, but that PHP live! looks better because you can pay a one time fee.
What about the open source CSLH? i used this when i comanaged a hosting company. Google: "Crafty Syntax Live Help - Open Source Visitor Monitoring"
it isnt bad and it is free.
LivePerson IMHO is much too expensive. But then again it might be cheaper than highering your own support staff. Ahh the wodnerful world of outsourcing; quite an interesting paradox :D
LivePerson is wayyyyyy worth the cost.
NexDog 10-21-2004, 11:31 AM Agree. :)
We've used it for three years and get it for $50 per seat. Boooyaaaa!
Taylor 10-21-2004, 11:36 AM Damn Laurence... not bad :)
We LOVE LivePerson... use it at Site5, and it's the only one we reccomend/use for TouchSupport too
blueface 10-21-2004, 11:43 AM Laurence, do you think I can get $50/month for 1 seat? How many seats are you using?
NexDog 10-21-2004, 01:04 PM We only have 2 seats but as we seem to be expanding so rapidly at the moment, I might add another one. I don't think anyone will get LP for that price unless they run some crazy promo. I was just lucky to catch a sales rep in a benevolent mood I think and the price is grandfathered in. I've tried all the chat apps out there apart from Kayako's and none come remotely close to LP's great interface. Not even Groopz which is supposed to be the dogs danglies.
blueface 10-21-2004, 01:18 PM Thanks for the info Laurence! :D
Servstra-Sales 10-22-2004, 02:36 AM I suggest you also check our PHP Live Helper. That's what we use and we have been very happy with it. :)
IntraHost 10-22-2004, 04:17 PM Cerberus is building a live chat interface... its still in beta, but its looking really nice. If you don't have to buy a live help program right now, I'd maybe try to get in on the beta or wait until it goes live. No clue on pricing, they haven't determined yet.... but they have always done amazing programming, and thier user feedback is great.
Might be worth checking out.

MaxHosting 10-22-2004, 06:12 PM Good to know that Live Person offers cheaper prices than $100/seat. Help Center Live works fine for me right now. Tried Php Live Support a while back, and ran into disconnection problems. For now all of my clients send me emails even though I am online, so I will invest in Live Person when there is a greater demand.
