i measure with MRTG active HTTP( Port 80 ) and DNS (53) connections.
Yesterday at 12 PM i had 124 HTTP connections. Same time the RAM usage was from regular 70MB usage up to 203 MB. The connections died - RAM was again down at 70MB. Sysload was also up.
How can i prevent such a scenario?
This only applies to HTTP connections. 1 Time i had over 900 - server died. I had to get it restarted manually. Had no remote acces anymore.
Is there something i can put into httpd.conf to prevent this from happening?
