View Full Version : Problem transferring a .cc domain from NSI to namecheap

Ok, here's the thing. Back in 2001, I registered a .cc domain for a customer. At that time, I registered it with namezero.com and I kept it there until namezero changed his registrar. I decided to leave my domain with Network Solutions since they were 29.95$ instead of 59.95$ (Namezero with their new registrar).

That brings us to october 7th, 2004. I decided to move my .cc domain to namecheap.com (the registrar I use for all my other domains without any problems in years). The domain expiration date was oct. 13th so I had almost a week.

On the 13th, the domain was still expiring (accordin to NSI) even if I had transferred it to namecheap a week ago. To be safe, I decided to add a year with NSI and then transfer it to namecheap. As for today, here's what I get:

NSI list is as expiring in 2005 and namecheap added a year after transferring it (expires in 2006). The problem is that the domain still seems stuck between both. When browsing, the domain points to the old NSI address and emails seems lost since they don't reach neither of these registrars.

i also had a few troubles transfering a .cc , it took a few days until the new registrar recognized that the domain is already at his system :deer:

I would transfer OUT of namecheap if I were you. I had paypal issues, getting my last domains out most recently took three tries. Life is good with namecheap until there is a problem. Once there is a problem you are on your own, they do not even have a phone number posted on their site(pathetic). I am recommending to all of my friends and associates to get their names out of namecheap
