Hi,

I haven’t yet replied to any threads on WHT but do plan to do so very soon. I have made three 3 requests to change my username and have not had any response.

Furthermore, I am unable to send or receive any private messages.

Can someone provide me with a little assistance here?

Regards,

Tahir Ahmed

Did you use the Helpdesk?

Link: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/helpdesk/

Also you need to make 5 posts to use the PM function. Hope that helps...

Yup,

All the support queries I requested where all via the HelpDesk. This is the first attempt to resolve my issues via the forum directly.

I just need my username changed, that’s all I requested, you have solved my private message issue :D

Did you receive a response from the desk? You'll get confirmation on successfully creating a ticket along with the ticket ID.

I see nothing that seems to be from you.

Or any open requests for user name changes.

Hi there,

That also seemed to puzzle me a little as I did not receive a ticked ID, and I have seen the same helpdesk in use on other websites where I do receive a ticked ID.

I just assumed the setup of this helpdesk on WHT may be a little different to others located on various internet websites.

Would I be able to just PM you my request or e-mail you directly?

Regards,

Tahir Ahmed

Once again, you cannot use the PM feature until you have acquired 5 posts.

Yup,

Once again, I am aware of that, I'm sure I can make the necessary arrangements to allow me to send a PM.

I was just trying to inquire as to if requests for support or username changes can be sent via PM, or must they be sent via the HelpDesk.

Tahir Ahmed

Are you using the same email address you signed up with? I noticed you've been registered a year.

Yes, I did attempt to use this e-mail address, and another, but both from my recollection failed to provide me with a ticket ID via the HelpDesk.

This should be my fifth post, so that should now allow me to make use of my private message facility. Would it be ok to PM you or another member of staff with my support request so it can be dealt with as soon as possible, and then we can work on resolving the HelpDesk issue?

Tahir Ahmed

WHT sent to me a ticked ID instantly after submitting the ticket. This might be a problem with your mail server configuration, are you receiving e-mails from everyone else?

If you have access to another email address, you might want to try that.

Ok,

I have managed to find the reason as to why I have not been able to submit the helpdesk ticket, lol. I always happened to miss the small red submit button on the next page it redirects too.

Silly mistake, thanks for all the support on this matter.
