abstracthost 10-17-2004, 01:42 PM Anyone have any experience with them? Im currently with e-onlinedata and have had little to no trouble until a chargeback came up. Trying to verify who the chargeback was to no avail, I can reach EVERYONE at e-onlinedata except who I need to talk to. Im 10 kinds of annoyed and am exploring other options. Any opinions are welcome, would especially like to hear aboug cdg.
regards
akashik 10-17-2004, 03:25 PM We haven't had to work them over a dispute yet, but the initial sign up with them gave me an excellent impression of them. Genuine, honest and very friendly.
Compared to our time at Paysystems it's like night and day.
I recommend them pretty highly.
Dan Grossman 10-17-2004, 05:59 PM CDGcommerce is everything you could ask for... absolutely helpful and fast customer service, always professional, never a problem getting in contact.
cdgcommerce 10-17-2004, 10:08 PM Thanks for the kind words, Greg & Dan. :)
akashik 10-17-2004, 10:19 PM Not a problem. Check's in the mail right?
:D
cdgcommerce 10-17-2004, 10:39 PM Nah, we ACH everyone these days... haha. ;)

But in all seriousness, CDG Commerece is like a breath of fresh air in the saturated, often sneaky, market of merchant accounts. They are good and honest people who dont charge a arm and a leg.
mainarea 10-18-2004, 03:12 PM Never had to deal with any chargeback-type issues since we got our account with CDG in January, they've been very reliable and helpful to us.

DevonL 10-18-2004, 03:56 PM Hmm looks like I'll be going with CDG Commerce in the future.
abstracthost 10-18-2004, 05:43 PM Once I get this mess worked out, I will be switching it looks like. This was a valid charge, The company recognizes it as a valid charge. E-online data keeps giving me the run around 1 person says we will submit a reversal for this, another says just recharge the card, and yet another acts as if im trying to pull a fast one. I have yet to hang up on the phone in any kind of acceptable mood. Im still unsure what to do at this point as I keep getting conflicting statements from the same company :-/
moh2004 10-18-2004, 06:25 PM cdgcommerce,
I run business outside US, but I've both US account and address. Can I use your services to get a payment gateway?
cdgcommerce 10-18-2004, 07:08 PM Thanks for the kind words, Infexion & Mainarea. :)
In answer to Don's question in terms of a recommendation on how to proceed - in general, I would suggest filling out the chargeback rebuttal form that should have been mailed to you.
You will want to include documentation such as a transaction receipt showing the original date of the transaction and any correspondence between you and the customer.
There is usually a fax number on the rebuttal form that you can send it over for processing. Given the situation that you've outlined, this is usually the best course of action and it will result in the original chargeback being reversed and the funds on the sale re-deposited back to you.
In answer to moh2004's specific question, our in-house merchant account services and corresponding payment gateways are limited to merchants with a U.S. business presence, U.S. bank account and U.S. signer(s).
Nilomedia 10-18-2004, 07:30 PM CDG, no chance for International businesses to do their merchant accounts with cdgcommerce?
abstracthost 10-19-2004, 12:08 AM thanks for the suggestion cdg, thats another fun snag that I forgot to mention.. We have never recieved any of our mailings from e-online... This is a hard concept for them to grasp that I do not, never have, and probably never will recieve their mail for one reason or another. which resulted in a fun retrevial of my merchant account # since in a years time I have never recieved an invoice with it on it as they suggest I should
cdgcommerce 10-19-2004, 09:11 AM So you have not been receiving any merchant statements? If that is the case, you may want to ask about any online reporting options or online statement options that are available so that you can see those reports if for some reason there is an issue with getting them via mail.
And Nilomedia, I wish that I could tell you otherwise on the international question but unfortunately that isn't the case right now due to bank and regulatory/legal restrictions.
Zealus.com 10-19-2004, 02:53 PM Have been using them from the start of my hosting biz, no complains so far. Very helpful staff, also, it was very easy to integrate their CC interface into my order forms. Very similar to PayPal, only works with credit cards :)
VN-Ken 10-19-2004, 11:35 PM We have been using CDG Commerce for about two months now. It has been good so far. They offer great prices for great services.
I'd recommend them fully.
HenryJ 10-20-2004, 01:10 AM I have one question:
How quickly they setup the new account, and when you recieve the funds (i.e. with 2co, you recieve on 1st & 16th day of the month).
Thank you
Dan Grossman 10-20-2004, 01:13 AM A couple days for setup and multiple times a day for deposits, for me it seems.
HenryJ 10-20-2004, 01:20 AM You mean, i can withdraw funds to my bank account whenever I want, just the way we do in PAYPAL.?
Dan Grossman 10-20-2004, 10:05 AM It's done automatically, unlike PayPal.

You can't withdraw funds since they automatically post them into your checking account (like it's done in my case). That's why I liked them over other merchant providers :)
