I guess its possible with anyone, if it could happen to Authorizenet then anyone is vulnerable :(

Wow, sorry to hear about your misfortune!! We have been using Authorize.net for over 2 years now with no problems, of course we have not run into a situation like this though.

This is very scary considering that Authorize.net is one of the biggest gateways used and perhaps it was in the timing that this was done, but something should have set off some sort of warning flag to them and yourself that this was occuring..

It seems that they just hijacked your payment gateway if I am reading correctly, not sure how they did this if you are using SSL because it should have created a VPN between your site and the gateway used.

Is there any updates to this, perhaps how it occured and any advice on preventing it from happening again or to someone else?
