Hello,
Me and a few developers are considering building a Windows CP. After discussing it we have come up with a few questions. I would appreciate as much feedback as possible.
1. Do you think there is a market for a good Windows CP?
2. How much would you be willing to spend?
3. Exactly what features would you require in the CP?
4. Besides the requirements what other features would you want in the CP?
We are looking at this project seriously so please give me your thoughts...
Thanks

I'd look for a reliable one, that does not require it's own server (incase small web hosts get it); yet have the ability to be on a server of it's own.
A user friendly interface that is 100% categorized. Not like the cPanel versions I've seen where everything is on one main screen.
Something that is attractive (but fully customizable) that is text driven; not too many images.
Cost wise, I don't think I would pay more than $400 for a CP. I probably could sit down and create one for less than that (minus the time of course).
Just my opinion...

1. Yes, there sure is. Today there is only HostingController within reasonable price range.
2. I think two payment schemes should be available, onetime ( say 4-500 ) and monthly ( say $50 ) for unlimited domains
3. Server admin: add/edit/delete resellers
Reseller admin: add/edit/delete sites/dns entries/users
End user admin: file manager/email admin/database admin
4. Some FP Server admin, custom component registration
I have been thinking of doing this myself, but truth is I will never get the time

There is a new one that is close to being released for the 2K hosts. Low cost but has the single and multi distributed service provision including cross 3rd party support and is able to handle limitless rehosting.
Theres nothing like it !

If this has anything to do with you, as it seems, you may want to have a look through the forum guidelines a bit, paying close attention to this part:
Participants may not use the forum to publish or discuss any information regarding their product or services, or future (possible) products or services, or any product or services they are, or have been, associated with. This includes, but not limit to suggesting your own services, or services of partners or family.

discuss any information regarding their product or services, or future (possible) products or services But this somehow doesn't relate to the top post, I'm confused ?
