Currently I'm on a VPS with cPanel and have about 7-8 sites (one pretty large one) that I'd like to move to a dedicated machine also with cPanel.

Does cPanel offer a way that will transfer each site keeping everything in tact or is there any other way that I can transfer the sites?

Yes, under WHM you can do the shift. You initiate it from the new machine. Everything for the sites would be moved. However, you will need to configure the machine as a whole and IP addresses would be changed.

In regards to moving to a new dedicated server I've been planning on moving to Layered Tech however I just recently found Resellersworkz and Allmanaged.

I'm liking what I see with Resellerworkz mainly because I've heard so much good about LT and know that resellerworkz resells for LT. Which brings me to my question.

Is it actually worth buying from Resellerworkz? For the longest time now I've always heard people recommending others not to buy dedicated boxes from resellers instead go right to the DC. Now I know LT doesn't own their own DC but they do rent space right out of Savvis so I'm assuming thats a huge plus for them, but it's my understanding Resellerworkz only resells from LT and doesn't rent space directly from Savvis.

Would I be just as good to get the server directly with LT and then hire a 2nd company like Geeks4help for support and managing the server like I planned? I know it's going to cost a little bit more but at least I'm avoiding the reseller, am I wrong in this thinking?
