Hi,

Namezero have a domain Im interested in;

Record last updated on 25-Dec-2001.
Record expires on 02-Oct-2001.
Record created on 02-Oct-2000.
Database last updated on 24-Jan-2002 05:50:00 EST.

is it the record expires on 02-Oct-2001 which is what to watch for?

thats what you watch for, but the problem is NameZero has a tendency to keep domains on hold...for a long time. So watch out...

How long? .. Anyone's guess .. but it probably wont be any time soon.

Here is one of mine with NameZero/Netsol holding it for quite a while:

Unfortunately, you are stuck. You either have to meet their price and terms (the terms are worse than the price) or give up for the foreseeable future.

What the hell is the matter with all this domain business and NameZeroShiit&crap!!!! How can they keep the domain when it's expired. There's seriously something wrong with the way this works! When a domain is expired it should be made available at the very instance. I don't care if people forgot to renew it, when it is expired - it's not yours anymore! Damn it! This really pisses me off! So NameZeroShiit&crap want - how much for the domain? $3000-$6000? - hell they don't even own the domain!!! Why should I pay them to get a domain which is expired. Calm down, relax, start breathing - damn, damn, damn!
