My server is currently being configured and there is some question as to whether 4096MB RAM can work in a RAID1 configuration... Not sure how/why the two are related, but has anyone been able to set up a configuration with that much RAM and a RAID or heard of this limitation?

Unrelated... there's no such limitation.

We actually run a dozen or more servers with 4GB of mem and RAID1. So, yeah, it is possible. Dual xeons, but.

I do run that exact hardware spec so yes it definitly works :)

Hi,

I'm assuming you're doing hardware raid, as in that case it's totally unrelated as the system sees the array as one disk anyway.

I've got pretty much that setup on my workstation except with RAID0, works without a problem.
