I have a local band that has a site on my server. They just opened a merchant account at their bank. They want to sell there CDs online and have ability to do the transactions on the road as well. What is the next step? Or better put, as a host what are my options?

On an addional note I work for a recording studio, and will probably be hosting more and more band sites with similiar needs to sell there merchandise. Should I look for an overall solution or take each group as a seperate incident?

Personally I would say its best to just go group by group at the start and then once you have a high number of accounts for them maybe move on to a server to yourself and host all of the sites on the one server.

They are currently on our own server. About five of them. We have a colocated server. These bands are just starting out, but some of them are starting to get popular around town an I know when I hook one up with an online account the rest will come asking. I am pretty familiar with running a web server and in the past few years I have published a handful of sites, but never dealt with the whole credit card processing stage.

I am probably being to general about this. I guess what I need to know is the basics. So far this one group has gotton a merchant account at the bank in town, besides setting up a shopping cart, what is the next stage?
