I work for a webhosting company and we have a large number of clients who are interseted in search engine marketing services. SEM is obviously not our core competency and, rather than developing this competency, we are looking for ways to outsource to a good provider so that we can refer our clients appropriately.

I'm looking for recommendations for good reseller/referral programs for search engine listing/marketing/optimization. What I have in mind is a program that allows customers to sign up for services and either gives us a percentage of the generated income or an up-front finders fee.

I imagine that there's a trade-off between service quality and income for the refering party/reseller, though I'm new to this so any insight you can provide would be appreciated.

Also, to be clear, I'm not soliciting advertisements that are also not permitted by forum rules; what I'm looking for is first-hand success stories with particular referral/reseller programs.

I know that other web hosting companies have to have run into this same problem (customers requesting search engine listing/optimization services)... How did you handle it?

Hi inexpensivedomain,

We would be interested in partnering with you for your client's marketing needs. We're not exactly an SEO firm but we have a good handle and good software with pretty good results.

If interested we would be willing to pay an up front finders fee. Normally 25% of the total cost. Total cost varies on what keywords they want to target, submission services, and how many pages they want to optimize. This is a win win situation because the more pages and content they have on their website the better.

The sky is the limit for total cost by the way.

Kind Regards
