Any UK webhost advice for a total newbie? Want to put a small business online, initially taking order via Frontpage form/e-mail and sending clients a quote. Don't know where to start.

As long as you host your web site with a hosting company with fast servers/connections, there shouldn't really be any difference in terms of access speeds.

The only exception is if you were to host a Quake or other game server, as in this case it isn't just the transfer speed that counts, but also the ping. The bottom line is that for a web site, as long as your host has good connectivity and fast servers, there is virtually ZERO difference where it's hosted. In fact I've seen many US hosts who are much faster for me than local ones.

Are you serious?
They may be good but hey charged a friend of mine £25 plus VAT per GB for data transfer and only included a tiny amount with the plan.
You can do much better.

DSVR's prices are inflated, I agree. However the service they provide is excellent.
