Gually 10-12-2004, 04:23 AM Hello,
Since 15 hours ago we have problems with the mail. We can't send or recieve mails from and to all our domains or recieve any e-mails from other accounts out from the server.
We have the errors 0x800CCC0E and 0x800CCC79 with the Outlook Express. We can't send or recieve e-mails via webmail too.
We restart the exim but the problem persists. Do you have some idea to resolve this issue?
We contact the servermatrix Support with the Ticket System via orbit since 15 hours ago but they didn't have nothing to solve this problem and we have a lot of customers that are calling us because the e-mail don't work and we don't know what to say and what to have.
Also, we have problems with the FTPD. We restart them but is not working. The Servermatrix Support don't solve this issue yet.
Sincerely,
Gually
eddy2099 10-12-2004, 05:23 AM Which management plan do you have with Servermatrix ? Typically configuration and troubleshooting is your responsibility as systems administrator.
Did you do anything prior to this issue ?
Gually 10-12-2004, 05:26 AM We have the Silver Level.
We have not touched anything. It failed suddenly
eddy2099 10-12-2004, 05:37 AM The Silver Level Plan does not come with any time for troubleshooting and rectifying software issues. Only the Gold and above has an hour or more of such time.

lumbyjj 10-12-2004, 05:54 AM Have you looked at the log files for your server?? This doesn't sound like a servermatrix problem. Please remember that it is your job to administrate your server. Also, can you expound as to wheather or not Server Matrix answered you or just said they can't help you??

coight 10-12-2004, 05:56 AM Why should they be helping you with outlook errors?

I doubt it, it looks like another person that has no idea how to manage a server and expects WHM to do their server administration work. Sermermatrix won't help you with this issue, I don't believe they should help you either. What sort of management plan do you have with them? Maybe on the top tier they will help.
lumbyjj 10-12-2004, 06:01 AM He states in another thread that he has the "silver plan" which of couse doesn't include admin work. Not only does he expect them to do his server administration for free, but he starts 3 different threads on the same subject!!

did ya try SM forums for help? if ticket suport goes slow then turn to the forums..
if its a cpanel issue hit up cpanel support forums as well..
Gually 10-12-2004, 06:57 AM Yes, I put a message at the "Mail Hosting" Support Forum in the SM forums but they don't answer mee too.
Now I will put a message on the CPanel forum.
Thanks a lot,
Gually
OCXBIOS 10-12-2004, 07:01 AM you could try this
from SSH
/scripts/updatenow
/scripts/exim4 (this will reinstall exim)
/scripts/upcp --force (this will update whm/cpanel)
besure to update to "Stable"
gluck
WebMate 10-12-2004, 07:04 AM Post your issue in the Technical and security issue forum and you'll have a better chance to get any responses.
I wouldn't call this "problems with servermatrix", but rather "problems with mail and ftp". Unless your're absolutely sure this is a network related issue you shouldn't blame SM.
Hiring and admin is another option to consider.
Good luck!
desman 10-12-2004, 07:11 AM Have you just setup a firewall, telnet the ports see if you get an error

Good luck! Well said, don't think this would be a SM issue

Sounds like you need to hire an admin that can manage your server for you. You've opened 3 threads to trash SM and this clearly isnt their problem.
If you don't know how to manage a server, then hire someone who can. Trashing your provider because you don't know what your doing isn't cool.

ServerZB 10-12-2004, 10:55 AM Now yo ushould know that hosting is not only buying a server. Admins COSTS!!!
