I'm in the U.S
I would like to know which celluar plan is best for me. I travel a lot so no roaming charge
Is the Sprint 1500 plan good?
Thanks

It looked to be better than what I have. (PacHell). Was thinking of dumping it for that plan when my ::contract:: runs out (DOH!)

I have AT&T Wireless. It is the AT&T Digital One Rate plan. It is both Digital and analog, so it works almost everywhere.
I've had it for several years and like it. You can get anywhere from 450 to a 2000 minutes. No roaming charges. No long distance charges.
My phone has two-way text messaging, voice mail, caller id, etc.

I pity you in the states, you have such an under developed celular market compared to the UK - but then again your normal telecom infrastructure is miles better than in the UK.

Web hosting is enough to make my brain boil, never mind using a mobile phone.

Is the Sprint 1500 plan good? It's hard to say which plan might be best for you without knowing your particular needs and calling patterns, but... if that's the current Sprint promotional 1500-minute plan, $34.95 plan, you should be aware that 1250 of those minutes are off-peak -- evenings and weekends. That works fine for me, but if you do most of your calling during the day it might not be so good. They also have a standard plan that includes 1500 "anytime" minutes for $149, so maybe that's the "1500 plan" you mean.
I've used SprintPCS for almost two years, by the way, and have been completely satisfied. I'm especially satisfied with my new Samsung SCH-8500 phone.

Yes, Look into Sprint. They have a pretty good plan right now for about 35 US per month.

This is indeed a serious consideration. The Worldwide Boiled Brains Foundation has highly suggestive evidence that the use of cellular technology may be responsible for as many as one in three of all cases of boiled brains, globally.
The remaining cases are said to be largely due to traditional causes (exempli gratia, consumption of pet mushrooms); however, I'm somewhat skeptical of this. I believe the rapidly increasing incidence of Boiled Brain Syndrome (BBS) may well be due entirely to the use of cell phones -- rather than increased ingestion of fungi, as implied by the WBBF.
In view of this, I would recommend viewing all statistics on the health risks of cellular technology with a jaundiced eye.
On the other hand, the Worldwide Jaundiced Eyeballs Foundation may have other thoughts on the matter...

I think Sprint would be a good choice. Where I live now, it's so rural that we only have 2 choices. US Cellular and Cellular One. I've got US Cellular, but I've looked into Sprint and would switxh if it's avaliable.

Just be aware that Sprint is secretly subverting the integrity of the Worldwide Boiled Brains Foundation with massive infusions of hush money.

Only thing I can say is to stay away from verizion. I have the ericsson R280LX phone from work (vdi) and it seems to get reception just about everywhere on At&t. At&t definatly has the best customer care out of any cell co. I've dealt with. As for sprint I have a sch-3500 (samsung) phone that is really nice for my personal use. However, sprint's coverage is not so great. Perpare to get your calls dropped. Although it drops calls a bit it is really cheap so it makes up for it. You can get a credit for a dropped call by doing *2 3 2 2. The worst part about sprint is their customer care. I have had to wait more then half an hour to talk to someone on multiple occasions. My advice: if you can afford at&t go with them.
