Sid Egg 10-11-2004, 01:30 PM Please, I need to restore the site within 12 hours! Jim_UK 10-11-2004, 01:37 PM I don't think you can... you'll need to have your host do it. Also, no need for thread bumps after only 20 mins. Sid Egg 10-11-2004, 01:47 PM How do I get my host to do it? Lets say I have SSH, now how? Jim_UK 10-11-2004, 01:49 PM Originally posted by Sid Egg How do I get my host to do it? Unless they happen to be reading this thread and know who you are you'll probably need to contact them. Give them your username and the URL to the backup file and they'll be able to download it to the server and restore it as long as they know how to do this. I'm pretty sure you're unable to do it and it needs to be done by the root user on the server. Sid Egg 10-11-2004, 02:01 PM Well, can you explain how to do it from the root account? My host is my friend, who isn't extremely good at this :-D We are both pretty new to this world. Don't bother suggesting going for managed, we'd rather learn.
