NAC or INFLOW MSW 01-23-2002, 10:12 PM I wouldn't put my money on Inflow. They are headed for the big B. RackMy.com 01-23-2002, 10:50 PM And why would you say that? I have seen their financials and don't come to that same conclusion. jayglate 01-23-2002, 11:07 PM inflow is strictly colo for the most part. And any support you might need will be billed at very high rates. Tetraboy 01-23-2002, 11:10 PM For speed and reliability its inflow no doubt. jayglate 01-23-2002, 11:12 PM tetraboy. How do you come to that conclusion? Do you have servers at inflow or nac? CRego3D 01-23-2002, 11:13 PM Originally posted by jayglate inflow is strictly colo for the most part. Excellent point Jay, that is somethign that allot of people furget, I rember back in the days I was looking for colo, I got some quotes from colo.com that where very appealing, but the support rates where huge, and we all know how it works, you ask them to reboot the server .. it might be free, but if that HD needs a "quick" FSCK ... hehe, big bucks :stickout RackMy.com 01-23-2002, 11:21 PM inflow is strictly colo for the most part. And any support you might need will be billed at very high rates. That is why you need to find a company inside of Inflow with better rates :) sailor 01-23-2002, 11:49 PM I just made this comment to another customer 2 days ago - unless they are adding some serious revenue (doubling their current base) with out adding any expenses (unlikely) or getting a lot of investment that does not expect ebitda or much less net profits for quite some time - I would not extend them credit. Any way - I think the patient is terminal. I just wonder if customers will start seeing this and start an "exodus" out of their facilities wich wil accelerated bad news vs last year of waiting until their lights were out or being in an emergency situation where they were over a barrel to get a new deal and ended up in bad contracts with new suppliers because they were done in haste. :bawling: :bawling: RackMy.com 01-23-2002, 11:55 PM sailor, have you seen their financials? sailor 01-24-2002, 12:04 AM I here Internap is in the same position. Anyone have any thought on internap? I also here that Inflow had some very burdensome contracts with UUNET that were causing greif. ebo 01-24-2002, 12:34 AM Ok, cool. Thanks. I already have a server at NAC through pegasus which has been good. Speed wise, I don't see how it could be beat, but just wanted some opinions on inflow, since it looks like we will be needing some large colo space at the rate we're growing. Thanks for your opinons. RackMy.com 01-24-2002, 12:44 AM I also here that Inflow had some very burdensome contracts with UUNET that were causing greif.I heard the similar. What did you hear :) UmBillyCord 01-24-2002, 12:47 AM Inflow is the BMW of colo in SD. Class act throughout. But of course you pay for it. If you throw out pricing, I couldn't imagine NAC.net coming close. tetraboy. How do you come to that conclusion? Do you have servers at inflow or nac? I know nothing about NAC other then what I read, and I have never read that they offer a 100% uptime and latency SLA? Inflow does. Maybe that is what he is basing his point off. You don't have 100% SLAs unless you are confident in your facilities and networks. |
