Does anybody have experience with ecommerce packages that support multiple warehouses? I'm in need because I have several stores as well as vendors who can drop ship for me.

I'm leaning towards OsCommerce or ZenCart but didn't find much info regarding multiple warehouses.

ZenCart is basically osCommerce modified - at least that is the general concenses from what I have seen. I am fairly fluent on osCommerce. If all that you are needing is E-Mails sent to these multiple warehouses or drop-shippers then what I would suggest is once the order has been approved, find the code that saves the order into the database then after that, have the script go through the contents of the customers cart and depending on the product(s) in that cart, sent the appropriate E-Mails to the respective vendors.

I have "played" with literally dozens of shopping carts out there and I have yet to find one that offers what you are looking for. osCommerce is one of those great carts that is FREE and has a supurb following behind it! If you decide on osCommerce, you will have no trouble finding a programmer that can customize the cart to cater to your specific needs.

Are you integrated into each of these warehouse fulfillment systems? Are you just emailing orders to the warehouses? Most likely you will need to modify your database to include vendor information for each product, then have the script route the order details to the specific warehouse for shipping.

I've done this for one of my clients - integrating directly into the 3rd pary warehouse fulfillment center, real-time inventory management, sending reorder alerts to appropriate product vendors when stock levels reach set minimums etc...

I charge $$$$ to do this because of the complexity involved. Get a reputable programmer in your area for quotes.
