Most probably the outage is related to their moving to a new data center last weekend...

You cannot make that conclusion based only on that information. It could be another reason, like problem with your own internet connection :)

or maybe one of the morning crew guyz tripped and hit the power cord ?

Impossible... all the power cords are in wire management so their not hanging or touching the floor, and the power runs to each rack are under the raised flooring so we'd have to fall throu the floor first to trip over a power cord... even then we'd most likley fall and the cord would stay in place :)

well then maybe someone brought a stero into there office turned it up to loud and blew a fuse

Again, impossible.

#1 We don't use fuses we have industrial circut breakers.

#2 We don't allow such equipment into the noc

#3 The office and noc power are seperate

#4 Even if one breaker were to trip, it would only effect less than 10 servers, 15 at most.

I think being able to fall through the floors of your NOC would cause a completely different set of problems ;)
