Hello,
I have been doing web design for many years now.
I've been studying computers, basically since Kindergarden,
I currently own 3 domains.
tcoburn.org -- personal site
tcoburn.net -- community forum
tcoburn.com -- home webserver running Fedora Core 2
I also have experience with other Linux distributions,
like gentoo, redhat, Fedora, slackware, SuSe, Knoppix, FreeBSD, and others. I'm good at setting up both Apache and IIS along with PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, CGI, python, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL ODBC, and the other standards.
I dual-boot my home webserver with Fedora Core 2, and Windows Server 2003, and I have experience setting up both Linux and Windows servers.
I'm looking for work either in sales, or a server admin
setting up dedicated servers for web hosting companies.
In Linux, I"m fluent with CPanel, WHM, Plesk, as well as setting up and maintaining MySQL, MSSQL, databases and setting up PHP and CGI for servers.
In Windows, I'm fluent with IIS, ASP, ASP.NET in 2000/XP/2003
I'm pretty much good with all that type of stuff.
My dedicated home server: tcoburn.com isn't online all the time because I run it under a cable internet connection, but if I had more bandwidth I could run a full blown server or set of servers for a company or web hosting provider, which is what I'm looking for.
any interested clients may contact me at ICQ: 20050752
or email me at: webmaster@tcoburn.org
I also have a cellphone I can use on the go.
I'm legally blind, and I have a full-time job working at a local factory, I'm looking for part or full-time computer work I can do from home, that I can do remotely if needed.
THere isn't much I don't know about computers and I am very good at problem solving and stressful situations where a server has to be online, I'm good at figuring out DDNS and other problems that come up now and then.
even a sales rep or something would be fine, but I enjoy setting up servers the most is all. I have experience in pretty much all areas of dedicated webservers. Right now I'm looking for some technical or IS experience I can put on my resume.
take care,
-Tom-
