If sales have already been processed and sent to your bank, what happens when you press the refund button? Where does the money come from to issue the customer with a refund?

I suggest contacting them on their ticket system or looking through their FAQ's. Or... if you are daring... then just try it and see what happens. cyberultra 10-07-2004, 04:58 AM Originally posted by Scenes If sales have already been processed and sent to your bank, what happens when you press the refund button? Bannaz 10-09-2004, 03:22 PM Originally posted by cyberultra I believe they will deduct it from your reserves and future payments. How sure are you? This doesn't seem regular practise with any business, as I don't think anyone would be willing to loan out money, on any scale, unless profitable. revise 10-09-2004, 06:31 PM 2checkout has a help desk (http://support.2co.com/deskpro/newticket.php?subject=Refund%20Funding%20Source&message=Hello,%20I%20was%20wondering%20if%20I%20can%20issue%20a%20refund%20for%20a%20transaction%20after%20the%20sale%20has%20already%20been%20deposit ed%20in%20my%20bank%20account.%20If%20all%20of%20my%20funds%20have%20been%20disbursed,%20how%20is%20the%20refund%20funded?) for questions like this. You should use it to ensure an accurate answer. Bannaz 10-09-2004, 06:39 PM I know that revise. ;) But have you ever used 2checkout to get help? I find WHT very helpful for things like this! :) 2Checkout would of taken about 2 weeks to get as far as I've gotten now. WHT - the resource of everything! revise 10-09-2004, 06:49 PM Since this isn't really a common situation (i.e. vendors usually have money in their account since it's only released 2x per month), I figured you'd get a faster (and more accurate) response from 2co. I use 2co myself and have received responses in about 24 hours when I've contacted them. Sorry to hear that your experience has been different :(. Try them at 1-877-294-0273 during business hours too (I've never tried calling, but you never know). cyberultra 10-09-2004, 07:21 PM From https://sellers.2checkout.com/cgi-bin/sellersarea/payments.2c. Refunds that occur after funds for that transaction have been released are debited against future sales. I've tried it before and yes they deducted the refunded amount in my next settlement. Bannaz 10-11-2004, 07:12 AM Refunds that occur after funds for that transaction have been released are debited against future sales. That's suprising! There must be a rule implemented in for this, as people receiving individual payments in the thousands could cause some trouble! |
