I am happier than a drunk clown :-)

I just added 128 meg to my P3-800 running Windows 2000 and it's like having a new computer. The base memory was 128 meg when I bought it and I have noticed that my computer has become way too slow.

I took apart a 350mhz machine this weekend and ended up with a 128meg SIMM. Not knowing if it would work in my primary machine I popped it in this morning and voila. Go Speed Racer.

WOW!

What is shocking about this is that I do this for a living and it didn't dawn on me to make that simple adjustment ;-)

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!

How is it different from 128 megabytes? It is just faster? I guess it is fabulous. That is nice to hear!

Just went from 256mb to 512mb.. PC2100 DDR Ram...

Didn't even notice a change.. :)

Much faster. The biggest change is in loading applications and switching between applications when loaded.

I do a ton of work in FrontPage and there isn't even a wait when I publish or SAVE ALL.

I just want to add my 2 cents. Most of the older Windows like 98 and 95 make horrible use of memory (at least from my expierience). I went from 128mb to 640mb of ram on my Win98 system and I could barely notice the difference.

Agreed. I think Win9X can only address 64 meg. I am using Windows 2000 and it uses the whole enchilada. :-)
