I think Jamie is trying to push it more toward a full service control panel -- which means it has to be pretty for the end users. I've seen a couple of the control panel type scripts that have been posted on the third party modules site and I have been pretty impressed.

I installed 0.91 on one of my servers this past Saturday.

Today, I just went to the webmin config screen and selected the "update webmin from the webmin site" button.

The update worked without a problem.

That theme looks much better than the old one's, not much added in the way of functionality though.

Could someone post a screenshot of the new layout/theme for Webmin, since their screenshots are still of the old Webmin.

I'll like to take a look at the layout before installing it, if it looks better, I'll install it :).

Thanks,
Alan

Cool.. but I still sort of like the old design, it's simpler than the new one.

The old themes are still there. Nothing has changed in the layout, it just looks cleaner now.

Are you validating my statement, or trying to point out something that I missed?

Does anyone know if webmin can be used to setup subdomains on a plesk setup without going in and manually editing apache?

Also could a user be setup in webmin (that corresponds to a plesk domain user) and let them setup unlimited subdomains? I have a plesk license with 200 domain limit and subdomains take up a domain credit and would like to offer unlimited subdomains.

I guess that means not? :)

It is certainly technically possible. However, it has been my experience that mixing control panels is almost always a bad idea.

Your best bet is probably to pose your question in the Plesk support forum: http://forum.plesk.com/ to see if anyone else there has tried it.

I have added FTP users with Webmin on a box running Plesk without problems so I guess it would be possible with domains as well.

rastoma: since you are mentioning you have 200 domain Plesk license, I beleive I know where your server is located :D

If you search trough the forums at rackshack, you will find out how to enable unlimited subdomains without waisting domains in Plesk...

I like Webmin and all (I use it all the time..) but the new theme is.......uhm..not nice - so I just use the older style theme on the newest webmin release.

I have known about this countrol panel for a while, although I have never used it that I know of. I know that there are some screenshots, on their site, but is there a live demo anywhere?

Thanks a lot.

It has also added many new modules.

Including Squid Proxy panel which I needed very much and some others.

It is great for a server which is not planned for end users.
