And I just upgraded to .91 Frank allan 01-22-2002, 03:25 PM Originally posted by akashik It's certainly looking better then it used to that's for sure. :) I think Jamie is trying to push it more toward a full service control panel -- which means it has to be pretty for the end users. I've seen a couple of the control panel type scripts that have been posted on the third party modules site and I have been pretty impressed. Mike the newbie 01-22-2002, 06:30 PM Originally posted by ffeingol Blah! And I just upgraded to .91 I installed 0.91 on one of my servers this past Saturday. Today, I just went to the webmin config screen and selected the "update webmin from the webmin site" button. The update worked without a problem. serve-you 01-22-2002, 08:51 PM That theme looks much better than the old one's, not much added in the way of functionality though. -Dan eva2000 01-22-2002, 09:13 PM wow looks much better than 0.77 i had with rackspace.com hehe ho247 01-23-2002, 04:05 AM Could someone post a screenshot of the new layout/theme for Webmin, since their screenshots are still of the old Webmin. I'll like to take a look at the layout before installing it, if it looks better, I'll install it :). Thanks, Alan serve-you 01-23-2002, 04:12 AM It looks just like the page that waslinked here. -Dan serve-you 01-23-2002, 04:45 AM Here ya go -Dan ho247 01-23-2002, 05:04 AM Cool.. but I still sort of like the old design, it's simpler than the new one. Alan. serve-you 01-23-2002, 05:06 AM The old themes are still there. Nothing has changed in the layout, it just looks cleaner now. -Dan Mike the newbie 01-23-2002, 06:17 PM Originally posted by serve-you That theme looks much better than the old one's, not much added in the way of functionality though. Are you validating my statement, or trying to point out something that I missed? -Dan DHWWnet 01-23-2002, 07:31 PM yea i like the improved version .92. elijaH:) Mike the newbie 01-23-2002, 08:35 PM Originally posted by serve-you Are you validating my statement, or trying to point out something that I missed? Validating and adding authoritative detail. :D urk5 01-23-2002, 10:43 PM very cool. webmin rocks thesmallguyshost 01-23-2002, 11:12 PM Does anyone know if webmin can be used to setup subdomains on a plesk setup without going in and manually editing apache? Also could a user be setup in webmin (that corresponds to a plesk domain user) and let them setup unlimited subdomains? I have a plesk license with 200 domain limit and subdomains take up a domain credit and would like to offer unlimited subdomains. thesmallguyshost 01-24-2002, 10:15 AM I guess that means not? :) allan 01-24-2002, 10:31 AM Originally posted by rastoma I guess that means not? :) It is certainly technically possible. However, it has been my experience that mixing control panels is almost always a bad idea. Your best bet is probably to pose your question in the Plesk support forum: http://forum.plesk.com/ to see if anyone else there has tried it. GAMPort 01-25-2002, 06:37 AM I have added FTP users with Webmin on a box running Plesk without problems so I guess it would be possible with domains as well. Ales 01-28-2002, 03:29 PM rastoma: since you are mentioning you have 200 domain Plesk license, I beleive I know where your server is located :D If you search trough the forums at rackshack, you will find out how to enable unlimited subdomains without waisting domains in Plesk... Ales mkaufman 01-28-2002, 06:10 PM I like Webmin and all (I use it all the time..) but the new theme is.......uhm..not nice - so I just use the older style theme on the newest webmin release. Design123 01-28-2002, 09:20 PM I have known about this countrol panel for a while, although I have never used it that I know of. I know that there are some screenshots, on their site, but is there a live demo anywhere? Thanks a lot. wmac 01-31-2002, 01:22 PM It has also added many new modules. Including Squid Proxy panel which I needed very much and some others. It is great for a server which is not planned for end users. Mac |
