I hope this is the right place to put this. I haven't been here in quite a while. If it isn't, please move this.

This customer signed up multiple times without paying, since the 30th of August. When he did pay (September 18), 2checkout flagged his order for fraud. It finally cleared and we had his account setup on the 23rd of September.

Two days ago, I got an e-mail from 2checkout saying that he called them and told them his acount was never setup. 2checkout then took the money out of my account without giving me a chance to talk to them and ignored any tickets/e-mails I sent them.

I know I should've stopped when I saw his name and when he was being so uncooperative, but I've been in situations like these where my credit card wasn't being accepted online and I could relate.

If this guy signs up, I'd advise you to avoid him.

This is a snip of his signup forms:

I came across this post today and I am the customer in question. While this happened several years ago, let me be clear in saying that I disagree with the poster.

I signed up and provided my credit card information during the process. How can it be said that I didn't pay? Is it possible to create an account without providing the credit card information? How could the credit card company provide a refund if I didn't pay.

How long should I have waited for the account to be set up given that my credit card had been charged.

Would anyone else done anything differently? You pay money and you expect service. Rather than question the integrity of the customer, I would question the integrity of the service provider.

It was my understanding based upon the website the service would be available in a couple days. I remember sending multiple emails to the service provider over a period of 7 to 10 days asking for a status and I never once received a reply.

It was the lack of a response from the service provider that triggered my suspicion about possible fraud. The vendor's credit card processing company, 2checkout, was the one that provided the refund - not mine. I do not believe they would have done so without following their policies and procedures.
