I am very curiouse as to what everyone is using, I am a Mac user, now please do not start a Mac bashing forum out of this because thats not fair, us Mac people never bash the PC people!! But im just interested in what percentage of who uses what. Thanks! :)

I'm sure there are many of us here who use more than one OS. Do you mean which one is being used at the time we answer the poll?

For my home computers it's all windows at the moment. WinXP home edition, winXP Professional (almost... I'm stalling myself from putting it on my laptop), Win2k, win98 and win95. Donated the Win3.1 computer awhile ago. :)

I quit using Windows a year ago. I was sick of all the crap it was giving me. I wanted to be in control of my computer. I'm currently using Slackware 8.0 with WindowMaker as my window manager for the X Window System, and all of my hardware works on it. :) I've been looking into FreeBSD but am not ready to make the switch quite yet.

currently running mac OS 9.1 on one and OS 10.1 on another; like both equally well for certain applications.

Which OS where? On my desktops? On my laptop? On my servers?
:)
Linux and Windows XP.

Yeah I think this poll is whacked. I picked Linux assuming I'm being asked what my server OS's are. Should clarify if you mean desktop of server in the subject.

Or maybe I'm just too careless.

I use Windows XP. Bah, it's nice and all but I had too much problems with it when I first installed.

Oh and do any games buy Microsoft games work for Windows XP? Heh.

scott,

wow, we are really out numbered!

everyone else,

the poll is supposed to be for what you are using/prefer...if your partial to one OS that you will pick that one! Its not that complicated :D

Well, Linux is my desktop OS. :) I think the "Windows XP" selection should have been called "Windows NT/2000/XP" and the "Windows 2000 And Lower" selection should have been called "Windows 95/98/Me" since Windows XP is based off Windows 2000 which is based off Windows NT which is based off OS/2 which is not listed, while Windows Me is based off Windows 98 which is based off Windows 95.

I have a dual boot with Windows '98 (for games) and Windows 2000 (for all the rest of the stuff I do). I am also in the process of setting up a Linux computer :D
