This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you make the ads show up here on WHT on the index page...I am starting a small forum powered by vb...I have looked for a mod hack everywhere...

I am sure someone around here knows what to do...

You have to edit the template file for the index. I'm not sure which template that is as I'm only familiar with my own forums and phpBB, but last I used vBullentin, I recall it being fairly easy to find.

Take a look at www.vbulletin.org as you'll find 2 versions of side-panel mods to use with your board.

One allows for a side panel on all pages, while another only puts the side panel on your index.php page.

I still am not sure what to look for...I have got many mods from vubulletin, and even asked over there...

I did install the VBINDEX mod, but I want the side panels to show on every page...

That's the thread with the site-wide sidebar hack. Make sure to read through the first 5-6 pages as it's a little unorganized.

Not a problem.

Other hacks/mod's i'd recommend include the weather hack, vb3arcade hack, as well as flashchat. (search on vb.org for these)
