In the web hosting (reselling) business, are there industry-related groups or associations you can join? I'm not talking about "virtual" associations online. I'm referring more to ground level, local groups that get together periodically to share ideas and discuss common goals/problems.

I'm located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I think it would be immensely beneficial to have regular meetings with locals in the same industry.

I was in the bottled water business for 18 years. 15 years ago, a group of us started up an association for bottlers that grew to become a very useful and beneficial resource for all members.

Any thoughts?

Wow, this is an old thread you're digging up. I appreciate your offer. The only problem I see is geographical distance. I'm in Ontario, You're in Nova Scotia. I was thinking more along the lines of local associations where getting together at a meeting place would be convenient and practical for members.

Of course, if members wouldn't mind always meeting in T.O., I can live with that... :D

If you can think of how to solve the travel problem, let me know. I'm all for starting something up. I think it would be a great benefit to its members.
