Help!-- problem and suggestion?

Help, what's the problem?

We hosted our site on hostingdatacenter.net,
One of the site is: ifurniture.co.nz
That's an asp site using access database, no odbc used.

So we got mad for that:

Form time 2 time, we fond the site was frozen there -- It just had no response for the asp request, no error code, just frozen, nothing shown.

So we doubt that the server was down, but we found we can ping it and we can use FTP to access it, and, we found the other kind of request such as .txt, .jpg worked fine.

---everything ok just frozen on the asp request!

You can try that:
ifurniture.co.nz --frozen
ifurniture.co.nz/index.asp --frozen
ifurniture.co.nz/!.txt --ok!
http://www.ifurniture.co.nz/testpay.html --ok!
http://www.ifurniture.co.nz/testpay.asp --frozen --it is nearly the same with that .html page!
http://www.ifurniture.co.nz/images/assembly.jpg --ok!

We thought that maybe the problem of our database, so we uploaded some testing asp files using no databse, that did not work eithe!

So we cobtacd the support, and suggested that maybe the IIS's problem

We mailed the support so many times, at first, they said it should be our ISP's DNS problem and let us visit by IP -- certainly it did not work either.

Now, they did not answer our questions! ----------- what a bad service!!!

We are mad for that, we lost so much money on the site--- our advertisement keep going but the site was always frozen there!

So anyone could give suggestions?

1. what's the problem for that server?
2. anybody could suggest a good server we could migrate?

ASP is probably crashing on your host's server. I don't see how it could be an ISP issue.

If they are denying the problem instead of trying to correct it, you should pack your bags and move.

Sigh...

It works now --- This time we r lucky that only waited for about 4 hours. -- Normally we will email them and wait for 8, 10 or more hours!

But, I was warned, because I sent them 2 emails asking for support.... WHAT A HELL!

And we mailed for this problem for so many times --everytime it crashed--- and got no response. If we got, it should be denying.

I remember I told them the email did not work so I was wondering if that's because of the mail server's port number and asked them what's the port nuber. They just did not give answer for so soooo many days! I was unable 2 use email till now...

And, I even suggested if I could help 2 maintain the host 4 free because they did not have support people there.

REALLY A PIECE of CR____P... unimaginable, SO SAD

Well, then maybe you should move to some other host, problem solved!

You are probably running this off an access db. There are a a couple of tools that can monitor whether its your site, or another site on the server. IIStracer is one.

Might try asking them to place you in your own app pool if they are running 2003.

Yes, I was wondering that.
So I placed some testing asp pages that do not use the database and that did not work either.

And, I could not hope I can ask then to place me in my own app pool...

They normally just keep silent on the request besides an auto response.

---And, if send more, will be warned for "SPAM" and account suspension!

Really MAD for that!

Hosted on a new server to test the scripts.
