Hi,

I've been having trouble figuring out the best solution to a problem I've been having. Maybe someone can help me with another possible solution?

I'm a webhost that currently offers monthly hosting packages. I use authorize.net and when a customer orders, the transaction gets sent. Then I setup automated recurring billing through the control panel, and they get billed every month.

The problem with this is that the limit for ARB subscriptions is three years, meaning after three years I need a client to re-signup or submit their billing information. The reason I don't just store credit cards locally is because of the obvious security reasons, although this would take care of having to ask customers for their billing information after the ARB subscription runs out.

Does anyone know of any good alternative setup where I can have recurring billing, a merchant account, and not have to ask my customers for their information again because of authorize.net subscription limits?

Thanks.

First time that I heard of a time limit but I am still not 100% familiar with Authorizenet.com gateway. And with them always changing, it is a learning task.

Check with your processor first to see what other gateways are supported. And then let us know.

Some of the other gateways (LinkPoint, Verisign, iTransact) do not have a time limit I do not think. At least I have never seen one when we set up recurring billing on LinkPoint
