I am looking for a good reseller for .uk domain names as well as .com, .net domain names
who has features like directi.com, including easier and cheaper to start up, linux IPI, not $250 upfront investment and
I can't register more than 40 domain/month at the moment.
No registar that offers my clients web hosting option
because I do web hosting myself.

$500 up front or $250 if you use the API which is only 25 or 50 domain years paid in advance.

Alternatively, become an official registrar for .uk and get them for $7

But I was wondering if it is not a "must" to be able to register 40+ domains/mo before u could qualify for opensrs.com?
Also could u please give me any info u have about becoming an official uk registar, doesn't require thousands £'s upfronts?

You can use your $250 over as long a period as you want with OpenSRS.
There is no mimimum.

From memory it cost about £120 to become a member of nominet and get the discounted rate.
You also get an IPSTAG.
Not a huge amount of money.

it costs around £600 for first year inc IPSTAG.

Then £150 ish for following years.

Then you get .uk domains for £5 + VAT each.
