View Full Version : Problems after server move

Can anyone help?

After the recent move at VO, which went relatively smoothly to my knowledge, I still can not access my sites or email via my dial-up connection. I've checked using other people's connections and it works fine. For some reason, they can access it, but I can not. However, I can access any other site on the Internet and even VO's homepage. But since the move, I can not even ping or run a tracert on my site from my dial-up.

I am on one of the shared servers and everything seems to have went fine. Is this a problem with my ISP? I didn't change any of the configurations since the server move and I have no other problems. I have been using this ISP for over 4 years without a problem. What could have went wrong?

Since I'm not a network specialist, I'm not sure how to proceed. Does anyone know how I can approach this problem and get it resolved?

Thank you,

rk

Try clearing your cache.

just cleared out the cache and still doesn't work.

I tried on multiple browsers, pings, tracert's, and even retrieving my email via Outlook and nothing works.

Thanks,

Wait a few hours. You probably need to wait for your ISP cache to expire. They are probably still caching your old records now.

If your using a smaller ISP they might not have cleared their DNS or http cache yet.....If you can access it through other peoples computers than it obviously went smoothly...

If the problem persists call the ISP and try to find someone that a clue what your talking about when you ask them to flush their cache:D
