I have had a reseller account with primenet.cc for about two years now. Last week they canceled my account without notifying me or even contacting me in any way. Here is what they had to say when i opened a trouble ticket.

me:
I can't seem to log in to my account. My username is "smoked1" on server: 5. One of the domains is adminshub.com and I can't even ping it. What's going on please?

linda:
Did you cancel your account?

me:
No I did not cancel my account. Please don't tell me that the data is gone.

linda:
What is the name of the Reseller account? I cannot find it based on mymods.com since this site is not resolving on our server. Could you give me more information?

me:
The username is smoked1. The domain adminshub.com is hosted on the account.

linda:
The reseller account has been terminated. (ticket closed)

me: (ticket reopened)
Don't just tell me that it was terminated and close the ticket. Why was it terminated? I was hosting and important website on this account and I am catching some heat from quite a few people on this. At the very least I need the data from this account. Why was it just terminated with no notice or warning to me?



I don't know how things work for you guys with reseller accounts but this is pretty bad as far as I am concerned. I am waiting for a response from them but I will probably wind up having to take legal action as it does not seem like these people have any interest in giving me any information at all.

Do not do business with Primenet.cc!

That is a bad situation to be in and to give you no reason for their action is very unprofessional.

Sounds like it may be time to move on. Did you keep your own backups?

I have recent backups of the design but the mysql backups were located on the server. If my data is not recovered I will be taking legal action as well as flying down there to speak with the owner in person. I did not host any type of warez or anything or give them any reason to do what they did. I think that these people just plain screwed up and don't want to talk about it. If they do not make good on the situation I will be posting about them at every site that I can. The main website hosted there was a community of webmasters and they are very pissed off. If the situation is not taken care of this company will realize very soon that some people hit back.

It certainly sounds strange that they would simply terminate your entire account without notice or reason. At the very least they should have told you why they terminated the account.

Well, still no reply from them as to why the account was terminated like that. I am very upset about this and so are quite a few other people. I have used lots of different hosting companies in my time and I have never had service this bad in my life.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with PRIMENET.CC? I would like to get thier address and phone number.

I'm not trying to say that you did something wrong or etc, but how could you ever backup a website without backing up the database as well? It's like a 5 minute thing to get their database backed up!

Anyways, I would recommend you finding a new host already since PRIMENET.CC is ignoring you. No point in stressing over such an issue. Just get a new host, host with them, then if you have a backup copy of the database, try putting it in the new site 1st so that everything is running then after that all, only do you spend your time CHASING after PRIMENET.

I had a copy of all of the html and php files on my computer but had not backed up the db in quite some time. The DB was being backup up using a php script that dumped an SQL file to a directory on the server.
