If you had $1000 to spend on advertising....what would your campaign consist of?

Advertising on the slide show at the Cinemas..pretty good deal....its only like a few hundred per screen per week and you reach about 50,000 people a week.....We have plans to do that in Boston. Something everyone whould look into..I used to be a Cinema Manager and everyone goes to the movies and everyone watches the slide shows..for thoes of you who live in parts of the world where theatres dont do this what it is , instead of having a blank screen before the movie starts they have a slide projector displaying adds, triva, and such...when you buy the advertsising you get 3 slides per theatre to put whatever you want on, they can be 3 different or 3 of the same slides!

Some Slide Add Companies Are:

Val Morgan
Cinema Ads
CocaCola

That sounds pretty neat! We have those introduction things before movies. It has like movie previews and sponsors. I do not know what I would do with $1,000 of advertising capital. How much does it usually cost to advertise on television to the local area?

Well that explains the huge amount of Coke ads last time I was at the cinema :D

Actually I was thinking about this exact thing before I saw Lord of the Rings a week or so ago, but then thought of the near private screening of Harry Potter the week before... Me, my fiancee and two other people in the whole place.

I suppose it would be worth some time checking out which screens get the people in.

Don't know about you, but ads right before the movie pretty much end up left with the gum on the floor by the time the movie is over. I suppose for local branding it works, maybe...

you would think so...they conducted surveys for our customers at our Cinema once and mind you these customers didn't know they had to remember anything...and 85% of them remembered ads they saw that stood out....if you have a really good ad than you have a good cahnce of having it being remembered....and if someone is looking for hosting they will notice! I don't know...working in the cinema industy for years I've seen a lot of adds generate business.

We've done something like this for a hosting client once:

250 on hosting directories.
250 for newsletter ads.
350 for banner ads.
150 for PPC search engines.

with pretty good results.
