maybe I'm missing something but if there are unlimited domains, why is it necassary to post that additional domains are $1?

Sorry that our ad seems incongruent. I try to select the clearest meaning in our advertising, but it is sometimes difficult. I will consider changing the term for the future. To answer your question, people seem to have different understanding of what it means to be "unlimited".
My reasons for picking the term is to convey that we do not 'limit' the number of domains on your core account. You can add additional domains sharing that space at a very low price, and have complete control over space and transfer allocation - but not to imply free from all additional cost.
At any rate, I will try in the future to use more precise words to describe our service better, and welcome your suggestions on possible ways to do so. Thank you,

Is that $5/month for a MySQL db? Or $5/Month for support of a MySQL db?

That would be $5/month for the ability to use MySQL databases on you or your clients sites. Support is included as well :).
