View Full Version : experience with iSpeed.com?
zyntax 01-21-2002, 02:25 AM First I'd just like to say i'm brand new to these forums...so um...hey!
now then, i'd like to know if anyone has signed up or knows anything signigicant about iSpeed (http://www.ispeed.com)
If you check thier web hosting pricing they have an AWESOME deal for 3.95 per month if you sign up for an annual account...the deal almost seems too good to be true.
Today I tried to sign up with them, but thier online ordering forum is screwed up on a side note. :(
If you have any info or whatever feel free to post. Thanks! :D
chilediez 01-21-2002, 06:41 AM I do not host with them so the only thing I can say is they are Alabanza resellers.
ispeed 02-01-2002, 01:32 PM Hello folks,
iSpeed.com provides a variety of webhosting accounts which you may choose from, including CPanel, Alabanza & Ensim.
Currently we are pushing CPanel accounts exclusively from our website, however we place customers on Alabanza or Ensim upon request, and will soon include Alabanza and Ensim account information on our website for ordering.
So long, and hello everybody on WHT (First post!)
Asianguy 02-02-2002, 02:19 AM i like it, i moved from hostonce.com and i'm pretty happy with the service up to date =) *speedy loadings too actually =)*
they even help me, get my domain and DNS transfers =)
khalid 03-04-2002, 03:25 PM Beside their fast server, their Customer Service sucks, as they say about support on ICQ/MSN/Yahoo between 9am to 5pm, they are lying. I moved my site to their server. Because the said they support ASP Chilli Soft, after 6 days wait and sending lots of remainder by email/chat I got email that they could not setup ASP.
Next Question I asked to about the server number and SSL server path for my domain, Still waiting for it.
You can go to there site and check it out by your self, there is no support, no Customer Service, looks like this a one man show and when you ask question all he reply that he will ask his admin. and then he disappear.
I suggestion look something else...
ispeed 05-27-2002, 12:23 AM Check our website for Live Support.
ieasy 11-10-2002, 02:08 AM I love iSpeed. I have a VPS 256 hosting server, and I get fast support response via their iSpeed online helpdesk.
Elysium 11-10-2002, 02:55 AM Be very carful with this mob, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was going to host with them, sent about 7 emails, never got a reply. My advice, look somewhere else, for ex, www.worldwebhosters.com
Cheers
Elysium
nvphone 11-10-2002, 10:08 PM Yep, I will say it again,"You get what you pay for!!
$3.95 a month is just that,$3.95 a month!
What do you really think you are going to get for $3.95?
Site down at midnight? I would not get out of bed for $3.95................
Okay, off my soap box...............
naiton 11-11-2002, 07:53 PM how different for $34.95/mo so you mean $34.95 same as $3.95??
customer is customer
if you want to do a business you must know about at least
CRM ( customer relations management) and next Customer Intimacy if your customer please in your services maybe they'll tell thier friend about your services how's good or bad. so that's mean $3.95 doesn't just $3.95 a month 'cz you can get $3.95 x 10 and maybe lost $34.95
sorry about my Eng.
regards

intellec 11-11-2002, 08:44 PM did they Speed out of there?
rocrom 11-18-2002, 02:32 PM I hope the person from Ispeed respond here. I am still waiting for my refund.
I signed up with them about 3 weeks ago, after 3 days I did nto hear from them.
I emai lthem for a refund , I was told because I paid via paypal that it would take 3 days to refund.
This was an instant payment not check so I do not know why they needed 7 days however I gave them the benefit of the doubt, it is now 2 weeks late and I have still not heard from them and they are ignoring my email.
********DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM****************

:D
cactus 11-18-2002, 09:59 PM I don't think they are reliable, I signed up for their VDS-256 account and frankly I am really fed up with their support with is non-existant and if they reply, there is always some excuses but the problem is never solved.
I don't like to complain, but ISpeed is beyond believe, that they can ignore their clients after they signed up and expect us to pay and coming around to this forum to solicit business and claiming as though nothing happened.
I have given up hope on them and will be initiating a chargeback soon.
StarGhost 11-19-2002, 01:54 AM Nice people. Good servers, fairly fast connections. Their customer support is very bad, infact, it's almost non-existant. The guy is always AFK on AIM. As far as the servers go.. well, they aren't kidding when they say "unmanaged", so customer support shouldn't be expected for alot of things. I myself signed up with them, didn't like it so I found another host and lost $25 (they wouldn't refund my $25 first month fee even though i'd just signed up 18 hours ago). It doesn't matter though, they were not obligated to refund my money and I didn't expect them to, but I would have appreciated atleast some response to my request on AIM, instead of him just stopping responding to me. But like I said, it's all water under the bridge. It was my fault for not reading more carefully before purchasing the plan also, as I though certain things were included in the plan which obviously weren't.. All-in-all, they are nice, but you get what you pay for and $59 for 300GB says it all.
Tyrbo 11-27-2002, 01:42 PM Well, I for one am very impressed with iSpeed, I had a fast setup when I ordered my server, and speeds are very fast, I'll show you a example of downloading a copy of AOL6.0 onto the server:
150 Opening BINARY mode data connection for setupaol60.exe (46335648 bytes).
226 Transfer complete.
46335648 bytes received in 18 secs (2.5e+03 Kbytes/sec)
Sure, I've seen faster, sometimes 9.7e+03 kbytes/sec. But hey, go figure, AOL sucks and their servers are slow too.
Anyways, Support over at iSpeed is good. I am able to get most things resolved by them pretty quickly.
Oh well,
Tyrbo
jolly 11-27-2002, 06:48 PM If you are newbie then do some research on WHT.
naiton 11-27-2002, 08:24 PM yeah how do you get good support ?? surprised
Tyrbo 11-27-2002, 10:37 PM I am easily getting support through aim, I ask the question, the answer is resolved quickly unless he cannot answer his AIM, but usually he is there.
