Do any of the designers out there design for clients who use an online editor?

I know there are several out there, but don't know how well they work, or if one is better than the other.

I've avoided this for years, but now every client asks to update their own site.

Thanks In Advance,

Tom

clientsite.com/editor

Then you have the client using your software and you can support it very well. That is a client for life as far as I'm concerned.

My company created its own proprietary software but there are plenty for sale out there.

A few things to look for are ease of use for total newbies, web based editor, lots of templates, and a versatile editor that can handle advanced functions like source code editing access. Not all newbies stay so new!

As always, the best source for finding the perfect editor is google. :)

I've been googling :)

What I'm really looking for is one that I can define editable regions. God knows that as soon as I let my clients loose on their code, I'll be making more money fixing things than designing things.

And an upload feature is a requirement. I can't explain how to upload through cpanel, then edit through an online editor.

The really bad part is I've got a fish that won't bite the hook until the online editor is on it.

Well, the only good lead I can give you is this:

I never could find a proper editor that did exactly what I wanted. Now I have one and a patent for it. I hope this helps even if it is a bare bone solution. :)
