My gateway is authorize.net, my credit card processor is e-onlinedata.

I just need to know if it is just me or what is going on ?
Does e-onlinedata has a terrible customer service department ?

They take money from our account for chargebacks or fees without us knowing what is it for.... we receive their chargeback letter weeks later after they already took the money.
Their statments are horrible and criptic.
When we call their phone number most times nobody answers and we have toleave voice mail whcih are never answered.

Today we called their chargeback department and we got a message stating they are not taking any messages.

I send emails and nobody answers back and when somebody does they ussually dissplay an absolute disregard for customer courtesy and willingeness to help.

Is it just me or is this normal with e-onlinedata ????

Does e-onlinedata provide you with a virtual office perhaps to review? You might want to search the e-commerce forums - it seems some people do agree with you.

Glad I saw this, I was looking into setting up an account with them.

I guess the search continues

I use E-Onlinedata and have no complaints about them. All my dealings with them have been quick, easy, and hassle free. I've never had to leave a message when I call, although I did wait on hold for 15mins once.

The question is, how is your communication to them?

I spoke to them in the beginning when I needed a new merchant account. The way they answered my questions, there was just something about them. I did not have a good feeling about them and after reading this & a few other posts, I am glad that I chose another company

Just based on one negative opinion?

I should have said the research continues, meaing look for more posts about them and compare them to a few others.

I didn't have my coffee yet when I typed that ;)

Corey,

Yes they will provide you with this, for an additional $10 per month...

I think doing a solid amount of due diligence is always important - and prudent - when setting up a new merchant account.

After all, it is probably one of the single most important decisions that an online business can make sometimes.

Fortunately, these forums are a good place to start. Not only can you search out feedback on a given processor, you can also gain insight into things to look for (or look out for!) when setting up a merchant processing relationship in general.

Ouch so they want you to pay them to keep you up to date it seems?

Yup, which is one of the reasons I have moved away from them. I don't mean to imply I ever received bad service from them, however their rate structure and additional charges were out of line with other merchant account providers I have spoken with.

It sounds like the $10/mo. additional fee would be for the Global Payments online reporting tool.

It is my understanding that EOD works through Global/HSBC these days and I've seen that line item listed under other providers who work through the same group.

Real-time reporting can be a very nice merchant benefit to keep you in tune with your account. There are actual a few "flavors" of online reporting as well - some reports only show your batch totals and other systems go into far more depth.

There are several merchant processors that include free online reporting with their merchant accounts if that is an area of interest.

And if your current merchant provider does not provide this, usually an option like the above mentioned one is available through their settlement network to provide some level of online reporting - albeit at an extra cost.

For the record, the $10/mo. additional fee is NOT for the Global Payments online reporting tool. That fee is from OnlineDataCorp, our former processor.

Since May of this year, all new e-onlinedata merchants are boarded on the Global/HSBC platform.

Corey and Chris, you are providing incorrect and inaccurate information to the Web Hosting Talk community and to our merchants regarding e-onlinedata services and fees.

We do not comment on our merchants’ chargeback, risk and fraud issues in the forum, as it is unprofessional and a violation of our Privacy Policy.

Thank you.

Luis, as we have explained, it is not e-onlinedata that is removing funds from your checking account due to chargebacks, it is OnlineDataCorp/iPayment.

Every time you have called and emailed e-onlinedata, we have responded with the appropriate information regarding your account.

The notes from our Support system show that your wife spoke with us yesterday:

"Spoke to merchant regarding msg below rec'd in email. Per merchant's wife Grace, iPayment Chargeback depart did call her today. They are currently working on chargebacks with her."

FYI: Here is the number for the chargeback department of OnlineDataCorp/iPayment: 800-324-9825. Thank you.

Sloane, you might want to re-read the comments. I was asking a question about an online reporting tool for mdscorp and then Nettworkz was the one who answered it, not myself. And it also seems that was what Chris was reporting on as well.

I don't think you should have to pay for the online reporting. Our account has a great tool called mymerchantoffice where I can view all the activity in my account and its free.
