Hey...

I have been running a portal site for about 1 / 2 months now..

And all of a sudden it like got a ton of visitors, well not a ton but like 80+ at any given time...

And my server's httpd daemoe kept crashing all day... so I disabled the site after for a few days was like how come this is happeidn to server...

I have nerv used php nuke before so i did not know.. but i remembr reading ppl not liking it..

what happened is this normal??

any ideas of what i can do ? and is this a typical thing??

Php nuke is 100% dynamic. That means that everything from the articles to the menus are pulled from the mysql databases that it's hooked up to.

Why could this be causing trouble? Too many hits could be just be using too much memory (php is compiled into httpd) .

But that's unlikely. how many hits is he getting? are you sure its not a DDOS attack?

There is a problem with 5.4, all webmasters using 5.4 should check this
