I need to transfer my nameserver domain from current registrar. Will the nameservers information be lost? Or do I need to create them again? Also all things being equal, is there any advantage of one registrar over another?

I've only transferred a couple of nameservers and the information did transfer over correctly with the domain names.

My preference is eNom, which is a wholesale registrar. You obviously don't go right to eNom and pay their retail price of $29.95. There are plently of resellers of eNom here at WHT.

www.NameCheap.com is good at $8.88 for one or a few names.

If you have several names, you might want to checkout www.NameZoom.net and get your own eNom reseller account for $7.95 after rebate.

as you transfer domain from one registrar to another registrar the child name server associated with domain will get automatically transferred but if you can not modify and add child name server until your gaining registrar transfer the TEXT file data to data base. As i am currently using DirectI where it takes max one week time to get reflected in DB. Here in this transfer process all child name server will resolve without any problem.
