Question about www.below10host.com... Why does the most expensive plan (ultra) allow 0 subdomains while the 'silver' plan allows 20...
I searched for comments regarding this host but many it seemed were fairly old. Anyone have this host already? I just want it sort of a test zone for personal site.. php & mysql and the like.

from the features I see in the plans, I would say the ones with subdomains are hosted in their VDI machine, and the others are with Alabanza
Howdy,
Carlos is correct - the plans with subdomains are hosted on VDI servers, and the ones without subdomains are hosted on Alabanza servers.
One of my good mates hosts at below10host.com and has been extremely happy for the last 6 months. I myself hosted at below10host until recently and was extremely pleased with the service.
I might be looking to make a move back there some time in the near future...

Are there many companies that do this? Split their customers between two server companies (VDI and Alabanza)? I have narrowed down my search for reseller packages to two hosts...one VDI and one Alabanza. I actually like them both and would like to represent both (I realize Below10Host is not a reseller). Although, I would not want to do that if I would be crossing a "hidden" line and would end up being a major "no-no". :)

Not a major no-no at all. In fact one of the better reasons to become a reseller, is that you can offer a wider variety of plans and services, at discount prices (your reseller account often enables you to offer lower pricing than one person could get alone).
