I'm looking for a reliable web hosting service.

Is anyone familiar with the following services:

1) http://www.hostik.com/ - $12.95 per month
600MB of disk space
Unlimited Data Transfer

2) http://www.siteturn.com/ - $13.95 / month
500 MB Space
Unlimited Monthly traffic
Unlimited Hits to the Site

I checked with both of the above services and they both told me they were okay with hosting my photo albums.

Also, they were both rated in the top 25 at hostindex.com.

Please let me know if you have any comments, pro or con, on either the above services.

I need at least 350 MB of space and a reasonable amount of data transfer. I plan to use this for a digital photography hobby where I share photos online. Some of the photos are adventurous in nature although this is neither a pornagraphy site nor a commercial web site.

Thanks!

for that information about the "unlimited" bandwidth.

As a follow-up question, I had a pretty good feeling about hostik and siteturn because they were rated among the top 25 at

http://www.hostindex.com

Is it reasonable to assume that if these two sites were rated among the top 25 here that they are both fairly reliable services? I was assuming that hostindex would be impartial and would not rate them so highly if they were unreliable or not consumer friendly.

Are you familiar with good/bad experiences with siteturn or hostik?

Thanks!

It is actually $17.95/mo and $18.95/mo . Those rates above are if you pay yearly.

Stay away from unlimited data transfer, no matter how high the site is ranked, because that doesn't change the fact that they're liars. Most of the people that rate them high probably have very low disk space and very low bandwidth sites.

Personal experiences, or any specific information, specically about:

1) Hostik

2) Siteturn

I do not have a lot of data transfer to worry about. I've read up on reliable sources for each of these.

Is there any information, good or bad, to substantiate information on either of these services specifically?

Thanks

There hasn't been any information posted to the board about hostnik, but there are a couple of threads about siteturn:
