Hi im looking for a billing script i've been looking at a few including
ModernBill which is nice but pricey.

Im looking really for something under $100 which has no limit on
usage or the amount of customers stored

I want something which is full of tools I have looked at
http://www.clientexec.com it seems okay and easy to use
however I see some people don't like this one for some reason

http://www.whoiscart.net is another I looked at, and seems ok
but needs a few more features, worth the money

http://www.whmautopilot.com another I looked at nice features
but alittle over budget

So anyone got anything real good :)

pay some extra and get whmap, it's pretty easy to use & install.

If you are looking for a free solution you could try phpCoin (www.phpcoin.com).

phpCoin may not be the best software out there but for free you can't beat it.

Use modernbill might be a bit pricey but it is well worth it. We love it and version 4.2 is so much better. I honestly cannot believe we ever ran our company without it.

Yes I got the demo of it, I will install whmautopilot tomorrow and have a look at that one

One question, with modernbill as you use it when a customer log's into there control
panel and for example say they change all there address will it show up in the admin
panel that the user has changed there details?

It will not generate anything to tell you the person changed it. It just allows them to change it and update it as needed. We use the email feature in MB to send email to clients it works best for us.

My vote is for WHMAP.

From our experience, the support at ModernBill is a bit lacking.

It doesn't make such a huge difference now, but if you ever experience any problems or questions, you probably want to know that the company will be there to offer you help when needed.

It took us several days to get any kind of responses and usually they didn't fully solve the problem.

I personally use ClientEXEC and the only problem I've found with it is that the users cant choose their own username in the order form. Only 3 or 4 customers happened to have an issue with this and you can manually change it threw the clientexec admin page anyways.

It's more of a user preference than anything, I've herd WHMAP is great, but ive never used it.

Go for ModernBill -- if you're going to get billing, might as well do it right. I love it.

I use WHM Autopilot. Great system, although I am considering my own custom solution.

I'm using ClientExec. The default template makes it really easy to use for both the admins and the clients. And you can't beat the price! :)

After doing some research i really like Lpanel. Lpanel somewhat has the features of modenbill + more, yet has a clientexec feel and is only 19.99 a month :)

Even though I haven't used them all, I'd suggest getting WHMAP. The software is easy to install, easy to intergrate into your website design, and easy to manage. The support team is also exceptionally good at WHMAP. I usually get a response within a few minutes after submission.

I was going to go all out and recommend Lpanel (www.lpanel.net) but it seems that support is terrible with those guys! Can't get them to do simple things like change the lpanel url for me (and that's what they recommend me to do!) :-/

Well that’s not to reinsuring, I'm going to sign up with them today and see how it goes myself. They have a free 30 day trial, I figure it might not hurt to get something else then what I have been using in the past.

I'm going to put in another vote for Clientexec.

I did actually buy Modernmill and hated it.....(Think I jumped in at the deepend because everyone says its "so good").

I really didnt agree with it.

Client exec is much more me, I prefer the look of it - its easy to use when you get to know the ropes and does all the stuff I need.

I go for whoiscart and modernbill

ClientEXEC is for me! =) It's easy to use and clients get how to use it easily too. It's also very flexible and easy to customize to the way you like it. Their support is also excellent.

Modernbill may be great in features, but it's not easy to get around with, and clients get confused on how to use it. It's also hard to find some settings in it too.

Overall, I would definately recommend you to use ClientEXEC.

Good luck with choosing!

Cheers,
Nagaki

Hey,

Does anyone know if WHM Autopilot's users can be transfered to ModernBill?

I just started using MordernBill. It is a very complex system and there is alot to figure out, but once you make all the connection and know how it is working then it is a breeze. I will agree with the slow support and lack of good documentation. I see them making improvements the support right now. Will take time to see if their changes will improve the end-user experience.

Has anyone used ClientExec for other businesses other than Web Hosting? Care to share your experiences please?

Ok, my e-mail add is k.odem@hostnetway.com, could you please send an e-mail there with details [if any]. I will not reply as I will not play games with you if I am not actually going to switch to ModernBill.

Thanks

I have tried out Whoiscart, I wasn't impressed since their licencing agreements aren't to great. I am looking into ClientExec, seems pretty solid, and a pretty nice deal. ModernBill seems like way to much money - but Popular software. Pick what you like and stick with it, you will be happy.
